This is an Other Personal Services (OPS) state-funded position. The position is paid hourly and is budgeted to work up to 40 hours per week. OPS employees are eligible for State of Florida health benefits, but do not accrue holiday, sick or vacation leave. This hourly position is not eligible to participate in the Florida Retirement System.
The civil case manager assists the civil divisions of the circuit and county courts by providing case management and administrative support. Responsibilities include various clerical and administrative tasks, reviewing civil paperwork in cases set for hearing; maintaining statistics, setting hearings, preparing dockets, and working closely with the civil division judges, their assistants, case management staff and other court personnel.
This is a high-volume division of the court. Candidates must be proficient using computers and Microsoft Word and able to generate multiple documents for mailing. Attention to detail is important.
This position requires basic knowledge of the legal system, civil court processes and procedures and the following skills and abilities:
Two years of related case management or administrative, clerical or word processing experience is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required.
