Judge Maulucci's Zoom Video Conference Access Information

****UPDATED 5/28/20

Dependency cases:

  1. All Judicial Reviews and Status Hearings will continue to be addressed virtually, on the Zoom Platform.
  2. All Arraignments will continue to be addressed, virtually, on the Zoom Platform. For the month of June, both Division J and Division K will handle arraignments, as scheduled, on Tuesdays. *** Effective July 1, Division K intends to move the “mass dependency docket” (currently held on Tuesdays) to Thursdays to alleviate any conflicts between the two divisions on Tuesdays. Further information will be provided once the change(s) have been implemented.
  3. All Phase One Trials will be addressed, virtually, on the Zoom Platform.
  4. All Phase Two Trials continue to be held in abeyance at this time. It is our hope that Dependency Phase Two trials will return in person, or with a hybrid of in-person and virtual appearances, once we are given further direction on the capacity in the courthouse and in the individual courtrooms. These trials remain “status quo” at this time.
  5. All motion hearings will be heard virtually, on the Zoom Platform.
  6. All WEEKDAY Shelter Hearings will take place at 9:30 am, virtually, on the Zoom Platform. Each Division will have a “regular” Zoom Meeting scheduled for weekdays shelter hearings in advance. The Division assignments for Shelter Hearings are listed on our calendars which have been sent out by Tasha and Tess. We will NOT be utilizing the CLS teleconference line for WEEKDAY Shelter Hearings, any longer.
  7. Weekend and Holiday Shelter Hearings will remain unchanged.

TPR cases:

  1. All Judicial Reviews and Status Hearings will continue to be addressed virtually, on the Zoom Platform.
  2. All Advisories will be addressed in a hybrid fashion. Parents will be permitted and encouraged to attend Advisories, in person, in the assigned courtroom (4B or 5C depending on assigned division). Parents’ attorneys will be permitted to attend Advisories, in person. All other parties and attorneys will be encouraged to attend virtually, on the Zoom Platform.
  3. All Phase One TPR Trials will be addressed in a hybrid fashion. Parents are encouraged to attend Phase 1 trials remotely; however, if they are unable to attend remotely on the Zoom platform, they will be permitted to attend in person. All other parties and attorneys are encouraged to attend virtually, on the Zoom Platform.
  4. All Phase Two TPR Trials continue to be held in abeyance at this time. It is our hope that TPR Phase Two trials will return in person, or with a hybrid of in-person and virtual appearances, once we are given further direction on the capacity in the courthouse and in the individual courtrooms. These trials remain “status quo” at this time.
  5. All motion hearings will be heard virtually, on the Zoom Platform.

Adoptions case:

All adoptions will continue to be addressed virtually, on the Zoom Platform.
