Administrative Order
By majority vote of the Judges of the Circuit, the Judges have approved the non-stenographic taking of depositions by tape recorders in cases where one of the parties is represented by Gulf Coast Legal Services, Inc., or other legal aid society, or has otherwise been declared indigent by Order of Court for purposes of a civil proceeding. It is,
Ordered as follows:
- In cases where one of the parties is represented by Gulf Coast Legal Services, Inc., or other legal aid society, or has been otherwise found to be indigent for purposes of proceeding in a civil matter by the Court, the taking of depositions by tape recording or other non-stenographic means is hereby authorized.
- The trial judge in each such case shall enter an Order, similar in form to that which is attached to this Order and incorporated by reference in it, authorizing the taking of such taped depositions.
- The Rules regarding filing of depositions shall apply to the taped depositions, specifically Rule 1.31O(f)(3), Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
