Amended Order
- The purpose of this Amended Order is to expedite the administration of justice and the performance of the ministerial functions of the Traffic Violations Bureau in relation to the collection, disposition and enforcement of the collection of parking violation fines and penalties occurring within the City of Sarasota, Sarasota County, Florida.
- The previous Order entered by the Honorable Robert E. Hensley, Chief Judge, on December 31, 1974, entitled In Re: Establishment of Traffic Violations Bureau, attached hereon and incorporated by reference, shall remain in force and effect except as otherwise set forth herein.
- There is hereby established within the Traffic Violations Bureau for Sarasota County, a division for the collection, disposition and enforcement of collection of parking violation fines and penalties for citations issued by the City of Sarasota for parking violations within the City of Sarasota, Sarasota County, Florida, pursuant to Chapter 316, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 33, Sarasota City Code.
- The Division shall be known as the Traffic Violations Bureau – City of Sarasota Parking Violations Division (hereinafter referred to as the Division) and it shall act under the direction and control of this Court and the Administrative Judge of the County Court in and for Sarasota County and it shall report to the Traffic Violations Bureau as required by law.
- Procedures for the operation of the Division shall be set forth by the Administrative Judge of the County Court in and for Sarasota County, or his designate.
- Fines and costs relating to the collection and disposition of parking violation fines and penalties issued by the City of Sarasota, shall be paid to, receipted by and accounted for by City Auditor and Clerk of the City of Sarasota, Sarasota County, Florida, as the fiscal agent of the Division, and
- The Division shall, upon request of the fiscal agent of the Traffic Violations Bureau, provide any statistical data for any reports as required by law.
This Order shall become effective upon rendition.
