Due to the recent appointment by Governor Rick Scott of Renee Inman to Manatee County Judge, all Orders of Referral to General Magistrate entered prior to December 4, 2017, which specifically named Renee Inman as the presiding general magistrate pursuant to Fla. Fam. L. R. P. 12.490(b)(3), will be heard by a different general magistrate if set for hearing after December 2, 2017. General Magistrate David Caskey has been assigned to Family Division 4 in Manatee County and sits as the magistrate for that division effective December 4, 2017.
Pursuant to the power vested in the chief judge under article V, section 2(d), Florida Constitution, section 43.26, Florida Statutes, and Florida Rule of Judicial Administration 2.215, and to improve the administration of justice within the Twelfth Judicial Circuit, it is
Ordered that effective December 4, 2017, all cases referred to General Magistrate Renee Inman are now referred and assigned to General Magistrate David Caskey, except for the few cases which have already been partially heard by Magistrate Inman and need additional hearing time with her in order to be completed. Those select cases will be identified and scheduled for final hearing by Judge Inman's office to be completed by her. Any party objecting to Magistrate Caskey hearing their case as a magistrate shall file their objection no later than December 14, 2017. Failure to file an objection shall be considered consent to Magistrate Caskey hearing the matter.
