Administrative Order 2017–18.8

In Re:

Juvenile Dependency Cases

The purpose of this order is to ensure the safety of children currently the subject of a juvenile dependency matter who reside in an out-of-home placement.

Therefore, it is Ordered and adjudged that:

  1. The foster parent or out-of-home caregiver for any child currently involved in a juvenile dependency matter pending before a juvenile dependency court in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit may evacuate the area with the children in their care due to the threat of a hurricane.
  2. The foster parent or out-of-home caregiver shall keep in contact with the case manager for the children and shall return to the Twelfth Judicial Circuit after the state of emergency has subsided.
  3. This Order shall remain in effect until the current state of emergency ends.
