Rescinding Delegation of
Authority to Release Defendant
Prior to First Appearance
(Administrative Order 2019–1.3)
Pursuant to Administrative Order No. 2019–1.3, dated January 28, 2019, the Court delegated to Sarasota County Pretrial Services and the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office the authority, in limited circumstances, to release Defendants from the Sarasota County Jail prior to their First Appearance.
On December 18, 2023, Administrative Order 2023–21.3 was entered, effective January 1, 2024, establishing a local bond schedule in accordance with the Florida Supreme Court’s uniform statewide bond schedule, as prescribed by section 903.011, Florida Statutes and AOSC 23-88, dated December 12, 2023.
Considering the new statewide and local bond schedules, the delegation of authority in Administrative Order No. 2019–1.3 is no longer appropriate, requiring its rescission.
It is, accordingly, ordered that Administrative Order No. 2019–1.3 is hereby rescinded,
