In the Circuit Court of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit
in and for Manatee County, Florida

Administrative Order No.: 2025–18.2

(Rescinds Administrative Order No. 1999–21.2)

In Re:

Authorizing Clerk to
Return Unnecessary
Documents and Items

Administrative Order No. 1999-21.2 directed the Clerk to return to sender or keep in a separate binder any nonpleading documents, papers, or other items except those designated in Fla. R. Civ. Pro. 1.100, unless the filer certified that it was necessary to determine a matter pending before the court. That Administrative Order also permitted the Clerk to keep in the file certain nonpleading items when so directed by the court.

Because Rule 2.525 of the Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration now governs the handling of all filings by clerks, the above referenced Administrative Order is obsolete and must be rescinded.

Therefore, in accordance with Article V, section 7, Florida Constitution, section 43.26, Florida Statutes, and pursuant to the authority vested in the undersigned by Rule 2.215, Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration, it is:

Ordered that Administrative Order No. 1999-21.2 is hereby Rescinded.

Done and ordered in Bradenton, Manatee County, Florida this 30 day of October 2025.

Diana L. Moreland,
Chief Judge
