Establishing a Service Charge
Pursuant to Florida Statute 768.495(2)
Whereas, Florida Statute 768.495(2) provides for the establishment of a filing fee by the Chief Judge in an amount not to exceed $25.00 for petitions filed with the Clerk to extend the statute of limitations ninety (90) days in medical negligence cases and
Whereas, the Court finds that a fee in the amount of $25.00 is reasonable to cover the expense of receiving, filing and maintaining said petition, it is,
Ordered and adjudgedthat effective July 1, 1989, the fee for filing a petition to extend the statute of limitation pursuant to F.S. 768.495(2) is hereby set at $25,00. Upon the filing of a petition and payment of the fee, the Clerk shall issue a Notice of statute of Limitations Extension to the petitioner.
