Circuit Judge Charles Williams is an active member of our community, a champion for diversity, and participates with various boards of local non-profit organizations. For the Boxser Diversity Initiative’s “Building Bridges” discussion series, Judge Williams moderated a conversation with Michael Luo, executive editor of “The New Yorker,” on the history of Chinese immigration to the U.S., on January 8th at the Historic Asolo Theater in Sarasota.

Judge Williams is also board chair of the non-profit organization Embracing our Differences. In time for the MLK weekend celebration, the judge and CEO Sarah Wertheimer shared a presentation at Temple Beth Israel of Longboat Key honoring the relationship between the Jewish and African American communities.
