Judiciary works 24/7 to ensure responsibilities continue uninterrupted
Twelfth Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Diana Moreland recently gave a presentation on the "State of the Circuit" to members of the Bradenton Kiwanis Club.
During the presentation Judge Moreland indicated that the growth being experienced in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit is not just visible on our road and in the construction of new homes but is also reflected in increasing case filings. She acknowledged that increased demand is stretching judicial resources; but also assured all present that through the unwavering dedication and 24/7 determination of each judge the responsibilities entrusted in them to protect the United States and Florida Constitutions continues uninterrupted.
She expressed gratitude to the Florida Legislature for recognizing the need for and funding two circuit and one Manatee County Judge spots in 2025; and hopes that the Clerks, State Attorney and Public Defender would be able to report commensurate positions in March 2026. Finally, she thanked all three counties for their continued financial support of the courthouses, technology, and problem-solving courts.
